Hosted by CHART, Compass Health Network, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and the Pediatric Place Family First Initiative Individuals and families across west-central Missouri are invited to attend Project Connect, a free community event offering health services, support programs and essential resources. Project Connect is made possible through a collaborative partnership between CHART, Compass Health Network, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and The Pediatric Place Family First Initiative, with support from ToRCHLink funding. More than 50 organizations and agencies will be on-site to connect community members with a wide range of services and assistance, all in one convenient location. Available services will include: Dental screenings and extractions Food stamp assistance Haircuts Health and mental health screenings Legal aid Medicaid enrollment and renewals Substance use disorder resources Unemployment services Veteran services Workforce development resources And more All services are provided free of charge. No insurance or appointments are required. A complimentary lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for event participants. Free transportation is also available for individuals who need assistance getting to the event. Transportation must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Local organizations and businesses will provide resources, health information, entertainment, and opportunities for connection that support healthy aging and an active lifestyle. Event Highlights: Visit with groups and organizations that serve Callaway County’s aging population Gather information on services, programs, and volunteer opportunities! Raffle items Free health screenings Snacks and lunch are available for purchase. Proceeds go to the Callaway Senior Center. Bring With You: Non-perishable goods to donate to the SERVE Food Pantry. A bag for all the goodies! This event is organized by Callaway County community leaders who serve older adults: Central Missouri Community Action, Oasis Tutoring, United Way of Callaway County, and the YMCA of Callaway County.

Hosted by Pershing Health System Designed around the theme “Empowered • Screen • Thriving,” the Glow & Grow Health Fair is a free community event that brings together healthcare professionals, local organizations, educational resources, wellness demonstrations, and preventive health screenings, all with the goal of helping women take charge of their health. One of the highlights of the Glow & Grow Health Fair is the opportunity to take advantage of affordable laboratory testing provided by Pershing Health System’s Laboratory. Experienced laboratory professionals will perform blood draws during the event, making it convenient for attendees to learn more about their health. In addition to the health screenings, attendees can visit a variety of community organizations and Pershing Health System departments offering health education, demonstrations, wellness resources, and one-on-one conversations with knowledgeable professionals.
