Donate to Gateway to Hope

Too many women in Missouri delay or forgo breast care due to cost, access, or fear. Your support fuels our ability to navigate people through the barriers and into the care they need — when they need it.

Your gift to Gateway to Hope directly supports individuals navigating breast healthcare — covering the cost of mammograms, transportation to appointments, breast cancer treatment, and everything in between. Every dollar makes a difference.

You can also make a gift to one of our legacy tribute funds:

Arnie and Gail's Legacy

Arnie and Gail’s Legacy is a tribute fund created in memory of Arnie and Gail Gast and in honor of Jacki Rosen.

Arnie and Gail’s Legacy was created in 2010 by Gail’s daughter, Jacki Rosen, a long-time Gateway to Hope volunteer and supporter. The fund was started as a way to provide financial support to GTH patients outside the treatment arena.

Jacki has met many Gateway to Hope patients over the years. “I realized after speaking to these women that the hardship they deal with isn’t just the medical treatment; it’s that they are mothers. They still have to think of a way to buy groceries for their families, send their kids to the ballgame.”

Through Arnie and Gail’s Legacy fund, Jacki hopes to help patients living with breast cancer ‘take care of the extras.’

Stephanie's Wish

Stephanie Simon Allen passed away at the age of 49, after 17 years of living with breast cancer. Stephanie knew she was lucky. Unlike many patients diagnosed with breast cancer, she had a strong network of family support, numerous friends to take care of any need that might arise along the journey, and unlimited medical care provided by her private medical insurance.

“Dealing with breast cancer is hard enough even with every resource imaginable,” said Dr. David Caplin, founder of Gateway to Hope and close friend to Stephanie and her family. “Stephanie would often remark to me that she couldn’t imagine going through what she went through without these crucial resources.”

Her need to ensure other patients would be so fortunate has become a reality. With instructions prior to her passing, her family established a tribute fund in her name through Gateway to Hope. Stephanie’s Wish will help less fortunate patients living with breast cancer by providing them access to the medical treatment and financial support they so desperately need so they, too, can focus on healing.

Thelma's Gift

Thelma’s Gift is a tribute fund created in support of the Gateway to Hope program to honor the memory of Thelma Muskin.

Thelma’s Gift funds provide services and support for our patients undergoing treatment. This fund provides everything from childcare while undergoing treatment to food, gasoline, utilities, transportation, or any necessary item that could improve the quality of patient’s lives (or their family’s lives) in an effort to make it easier to complete their treatment.

Thelma and Arthur Muskin have been among the most generous and passionate supporters of Gateway to Hope since its founding in 2005. Thelma’s Gift is a lasting tribute to a very special woman who understood all too well the difficult circumstances our patients often face.
